Do you have plans? Well if not, here is one! Why don't you go down to central London's newest instagram paradise Ole & Steen? It seems the new hype in London is Scandi furniture, Scandi clothes, Scandi design, Scandi everything and now even foodie, especially pastry! Of course we have now 'hygge' and London has been flooded recently with many Scandinavian restaurant and pastry shops and for our luck the newest edition is Ole & Steen from Copenhagen, now at Haymarket and a new one will open soon in Richmond too!
I visited, not only because I am a Scandi fan myself and learn the language and all things Scandi, but because a Nordic Tv series fan page was suggested an annual fan meeting there and because my best friend George recommended it too! And yes...whoever I took to the place was well amazed by the place...its minimalist style, its cleverly arranged seating area to accommodate more people and of course the scrumptious cakes, pastries and delis. Yummm! Well first you may not get your head around of the system of ordering, but it's pretty simple and clever too! Go in, grab a number, then wait for your turn. :) Just like in banks and post offices in some countries, and then once its your turn you can just order and pay at the same person.
I very much would recommend the Christianshavner cake or the Mini Layer Cake! But whatever you will go for, whether it be sweet or savoury, your tastebuds will be satisfied!

Megvan a vasarnapi progi? Tyukhusleves? Rantott szelet? Vagy valami mas? Ha Londonban vagy akkor melegen ajanlom az instagramosok figyelmebe az Ole & Steen kavezot! Ugy tunik Londont utolerte a skandinav hangulat! Nem csak skandi butorok, skandi ruhak, skandi dizajn vagy eppen az egyre jobban feltorekvo 'hygge' orulet van porondon, hanem a jo etelek es annal finomabb sutemenyek is! Itt angliaban a kulonfele izesitesu peksutemenyek osszefogalo neve is 'dan peksutemeny' otthon magyarban ez kb a racsos meggyesnek, fahejas csiganak, meg kulonfele croissantoknak felelne meg. Szoval a legujabb szuper dan kavezo isteni sutikkel az Ole & Steen, a Piccadilly Circus szomszedsagaban.
Persze nekem is el kellett mennem! Mindenk ismerosomet oda viszek :) mert az az erzesed van, hogy a kicsit meg Londonban is huzosnak szamito arak mellett ki kell probalnod mindent! Es Gyurka baratom is ajanlotta, plusz az egyik Facebook csoport is ide akar szervezni eves talalkozot :) Eddig barkit vittem, mindenkinek tetszett, izlett! A dizajn minimalista monokrom skandinav stilusu es a ter maximalisan ki van hasznalva, hogy minel tobben le tudjanak ulni! Na es a pultban sorakozo sutemenyek??? Egyszeruen lelegzetelallitoak mind a szemnek es mind a szajnak! Az egyetlen dolog, ami kis fejtorest okozhat, az a rendszer! Mivel ugyanugy mukodik, mint a bank vagy postahivatalok; bemesz, huzol egy sorszamot, majd varsz a sorodra (kb 2-3 perc, pont eleg hogy el dontsd mit is akarsz) viszont ha rad kerul a sor akkor valamelyik baratsagos kiszolgalo csak veled foglalkozik.
En a Chisrtianshavner csupa mogyoro csupa szamoca sutit vagy a mini retegelt tortacska ajanlom :) de szerintem barmit is valassz, az tuti finom lesz :)
Mostmar legorgethettek a kepekre is :) Sok puszi es mindenkinek jo vasarnapi sutizgetest itt vagy otthon! :)
