Hello dear Sentimentals in the world! You all know that we went to the SkyGarden and kind of already seen my outfit for that day, but thought to show you in full, since most of my friends are in love with the top and blazer I was wearing on that day!
The top, I bought in Hungary, was such a great buy! Since then I only get compliments when I am wearing it! Maybe because its busy, mainly green prints go nicely with my greenish-bluish eyes. The blue velvet blazer another one of my favourites...I just love blue blazers...other than this, I have 3 other ones, but let's focus on this beautiful piece from Esprit. I used to work there while at uni and we had a fantastic 50% discounts on products...however some of my friends were still there until recently who always helped me out to buy these statement pieces for less.

Every now and then I don't always just buy things from highstreet shops and like to invest in more expensive for me statement pieces, like this blazer...this can be good for a nice evening in the Royal Opera House, or for a date, but also can be a daily outfit to work. Do you also buy some expensive but good quality things that you can use for years and years and not only in one season?

Stockist - I am wearing
Top - Promod ~ £35.00
Blazer - Esprit Collection ~ £99.99
Jeans - River Island Lana jeans ~ £30.00
Front zip Boots - Topshop ~ £72.00
Bag - Russell & Bromley ~ £249.00
Earrings - Reserved ~ £5.00
Sunglasses - Lacoste ~ £39.99
Necklace - Accessorize ~ £12.00

Skygarden London visit

SkyGarden Experience....

Yes! Finally! Sky Garden it is! I usually know about new openings in London, but somehow I never really manage to go see things in the first place…same with the SkyGarden…I was super excited about it, but then since its opening I only managed to get up there just now.

The only thing I knew was that there is a rather bulky building which has such structure that its concave lines melted a Jaguar, and the building would have a free botanical garden, open to the public.

And finally we are here!

Skygarden London Atrium
The SkyGarden Atrium is Monumental

The lift taking us up was quite fast and many of us had blocked ears for some seconds, then after the shiny dark lift, you enter to a whole new world. Everything is sunny, airy, green, flowers and succulents, ferns and other tropical plants grown on both sides.

In the front there is the atrium having a ceiling at around 10-15 meters. Here you can indulge yourself with a glass of bubbly or grab a bite together with family, friends or colleagues from the Sky Pod Bar.

If we went further ahead we realised which is not so well known and not so visible from the ground,  it has an open area as well…facing the Shard.

The view…yes it is beautiful…you can have a free view at all four sides of the building…see The Shard, St Paul’s Cathedral, The Gherkin, the City and its skyscrapers, The Tower of London and Tower Bride and other well known sights from London.

Tickets are free but you have to book in advance, or you can turn up after 6pm to stand in a queue to try getting in…otherwise recently when I checked, tickets were available around a week before the planned visit.

Brunch in London Grind

Our lovely brunch in London Grind - the little brother of Melbourne-style Cafe Shoreditch Grind! We are definitely going to be back!

Samuel Johnson's quote 'When a man is tired of London, he is tired of Life.' shines in red through the neon light on the inner wall of London Grind! How true this sentences is, but me and my friend were/are not tired of London at all! :)

It was time for my best friend and myself to team up again and we had a really good brunch at the
London Grind! She was in London so we definitely had to meet for long girly chats and some drinks and other treats like shopping. Besides that we also met our other friends, Senor Martinez and Barry. Senor Martinez was also visiting so we managed to do lots of things together, not only eating out but spent together most days as well.

On Thursday we finally managed to get tickets to the Sky Garden, but before entering that paradise we needed to eat something!
There were 2 choices around London Bridge. Both of us fancied the London Grind more and after entering we informed the waiter of our situation, that we need to eat in maximum 50 minutes due to a meeting…well it was an important meeting in the Sky Garden with Senor Martinez and Barry.

The waiter immediately was on our wavelength and he said, we were their VIP guest today, so we will have the food and drinks quickly and we should be safely done within the specified time.
He also led us to tables next to the open windows, providing a not London like atmosphere…I felt we were sitting somewhere out close to the beach, with some breeze sometimes blowing at us….the sun is shining and enjoying our cocktail-like iced mochas.

Food came soon as well and just look at the pictures…isn’t it nice? Yes! The colours just work perfectly! And yummy, delicious and filling brunch!

Ohh I could have eaten everything from their counters and from their menu too J

It still was a pleasure to eat there! Have not tried this specific one before, but have already been a guest in the Shoreditch grind.

The next post will be featuring a wonderful place in London where you can go for free! Stay Tuned!
