SkyGarden Experience....
Yes! Finally! Sky Garden it is! I usually know about new
openings in London, but somehow I never really manage to go see things in the
first place…same with the SkyGarden…I was super excited about it, but then
since its opening I only managed to get up there just now.
The only thing I knew was that there is a rather bulky
building which has such structure that its concave lines
melted a Jaguar, and the building would have a free botanical garden, open to the
public.
And finally we are here!

The lift taking us up was quite fast and many of us had
blocked ears for some seconds, then after the shiny dark lift, you enter to a
whole new world. Everything is sunny, airy, green, flowers and succulents,
ferns and other tropical plants grown on both sides.
In the front there is the atrium having a ceiling at around
10-15 meters. Here you can indulge yourself with a glass of bubbly or grab a
bite together with family, friends or colleagues from the
Sky Pod Bar.

If we went further ahead we realised which is not so well
known and not so visible from the ground, it has an open area as
well…facing the Shard.
The view…yes it is beautiful…you can have a free view at all
four sides of the building…see The Shard, St Paul’s Cathedral, The Gherkin, the
City and its skyscrapers, The Tower of London and Tower Bride and other well
known sights from London.

Tickets are free but you have to book in advance, or you can
turn up after 6pm to stand in a queue to try getting in…otherwise recently when
I checked,
tickets were available around a week before the planned visit.
